Include photos with your ad "a picture is worth a thousand words" never was this more true than it is here. A photo shows a potential buyer exactly what it is that you're selling. Show every angle possible and try to showcase options or special equipment. Please be sure that your photos are in .jpg or .gif format. It is also a good idea to resize your photos so that they are no more than 100k to shorten the time it takes for your page to download to potential buyers. Include an email address You need an email address to complete the place an ad process. Include an email address link to your ad so that buyers can contact you directly. Have your credit card or paypal account ready If you do not already have a paypal account you will be prompted on how to instantly set up an account. Image dimensions: 640x480 Digital photos should be 640x480 pixels or smaller. Please resize larger images. A larger image may appear distorted, or may not appear at all. File size Buyers may not wait for a large file to download so try and keep your photos file size under 100kb. (File sizes are listed next to the file names in your computer's directory. If you cannot see them, select "view" from the directory's menu and then select "details" to display. File format To provide prospective buyers with the best possible quality images, please ensure your photo file is in "jpeg" format (a file name that ends with ".jpg"). A file format other than a "jpeg" may not appear at all. File naming Please name your image files as follows: vehicle make and model followed by the ".jpg" suffix. Use underscores rather than spaces. Example: "harley_fatboy.jpg". How to resize and reformat photos Open your photo in an image-editing program. Change the image size so that the width is between 565 and 640 pixels. Select "save as" from the file menu. Select jpeg (.jpg) as the file format and save the image to your hard drive using the file naming mentioned above. How to reduce photo file size Photo file sizes are affected by factors such as image size and resolution. Some image-editing programs allow jpeg files to be saved in various qualities. The lower the quality, the smaller the file size. Select a resolution of 72dpi. Select a maximum image size of 640x480 pixels. Select image quality (a quality level below "medium" is not recommended.) To find help with the image-editing program you use, search using terms such as "jpeg quality factor" or "jpeg options". How to upload your photos Click the "browse" button to the right of the "upload your photo" field. This opens a dialog box headed "choose file". Within this box, locate the photo you wish to use. Click once on the photo to highlight it, and then click on the "open" button. The dialog box will disappear and the file name will appear in the "upload your photo" field. Click the "next" button at the bottom right of the page to upload your photo and repeat for each of your remaining photos. Preview your ad. Your photos will appear with your ad within 24 hours.
